Prom Dresses are not Banned…

Posted by Tony Turner | Campaign Blog,My Blogs | Wednesday 20 April 2011 9:01 pm

Regardless of what you may have heard, Prom dresses of any kind have not been banned by the School Board.  It seems that there is a rumor going around that the School Board has banned certain Prom dresses.  This is simply not the truth.  Personally, I cannot recall anytime we have discussed Prom dresses at our Board meetings.  This is just a vicious rumor that may have been meant to incite opposition to the incumbent candidates.  If you have any questions or comments about what you have heard, please feel free to contact me.

Candidate Forum

I must admit, I had fun tonight.  I find it a privilege to participate in the forum, this time more than ever.  Tonight the Bristol Youth Council hosted our forum at the YWCA and it was great that we had our youth asking the questions they find important to them.  Thank you to everyone who came out to support us candidates.  Despite a minor but loud technical difficulty, I think the night went well…

Campaigning is well underway…

Well my campaign for Re-Election to the Board of Education is well underway.  I have had the privilege to meet many new people on this journey.  To me, this is the  best part of campaigning.  I know that everyone I meet will not vote for me and sadly, some of them will not vote.  But I strongly feel that my role as a candidate is to raise public awareness and participation and maybe, just maybe, get them to vote.  Hopefully vote for me.
