Why Vote for me?

Easy answer would be Fiscal Responsibility and Academic Excellence.  I have a proven vote record of demanding that our precious limited tax money is not wasted and squandered.  We are living in the worst economic times of my life and I am disgusted, same as you, to see our tax money wasted by our government.  I feel I have represented your interest to the best of my ability and will continue to do so when re-elected.  Also, I promote a relevant rigorous education that will allow our children to be able to compete in a flat globalized economy.  My education and career in Information Technology has given me the technological skills and knowledge needed to help lead our school district into the  high-tech globalized world.  By voting for me, you are ensuring that our system has a technologically strong and fiscally responsible leader that will be your voice in every decision that we make.

When I first started on the board in 2007, there was a strained relationship between the City Council and the Board of Education.  I feel that I have bridged that gap between the City Council and our Board.  We have a strong commensal relationship that is needed to lead our local government.  By voting for me you are ensuring that the School Board and the City Council continues on the path of collaboration.

I arrived on the board with no axe to grind and no agenda other than making the educational system the best it can be.  I have been part of some of the most important decisions any school board member can make from building  Fairmount to  a Director of Schools search and hiring.  I have also attended many hours of school board training to become the best board member I can be.  By voting for me you are ensuring that experience remains on the board.

I have learned many things since I have been on the board.  Our system has many needs and faces many challenges.  Also I have found that our school system has some of the most dedicated and talented people I have had the pleasure working with.  Their passion inspires me to do my best. By voting for me, you are ensuring that your choice has the relationships and interpersonal skills to work with the those individuals to give our children, our future leaders, the chance to be anything they wish to be.

I love democracy and the freedoms it affords me.  Part of that freedom is the ability to participate in our government.  The school board is no exception.  I will always strive to build pubic participation in our policies and will always be transparent in my actions.  By voting for me, you will have a voice in our policies.

I hope that you get out and vote and humbly ask that you vote for me.
